Who are we?

We are Oskar and Marjolein Beumers, both born and raised in Twente inthe east of The Netherlands. We studied together in Amsterdam; Oskar at the Academy of Physical Education and Marjolein at the Amsterdam Academy of education for the financial sector. After our studies we lived a winterseason in St. Anton am Arlberg to teach ski lessons and where we were infected with mountain life. Back in the Netherlands, we both started “serious” jobs.

We have three children, our oldest daughter Sophie, now 18 years old, was born in Oldenzaal where we lived with great pleasure. In 2008 we ended up in Deventer, where Anne (16 years) and Bas (13 years) were born. Oskar has worked in the sports industry for years, at the ski brands Atomic and Head. Oskar has been active with Double Dutch for a few years now for all kinds of events and activities in the snow at the mountains. Marjolein has worked for a long time at VvAA, a consultancy for doctors and paramedics to advise them on starting and running their own practice. In recent years, Marjolein has worked at Amplifon.

As a family, we have always had a preference for Austria and therefore went skiing in Austria with our children every winter. We know St. Anton am Arlberg well and like to come there, but we have also visited other villages in the Austrian Alps, Switzerland and Italy. And of course we could also be found in the Austrian mountains in the summer. Wonderful for walking, mountain biking or at the racing bike to explore the mountains and the surrounding area.
